Here we introduce the newest bioluminescent substrate for
cytochrome 3A4, Luciferin-IPA. This new generation substrate is a highly sensitive and
selective probe for detecting CYP3A4 activity. The increased sensitivity allows the research to use less CYP3A4 enzyme. The substrate can be used to
detect CYP3A4 gene induction and can be multiplexed with a cell viability assay.
